It started with a small town.
Everything began with the landscape of a small town.
In Shiojiri, Nagano, where I grew up, helping one another was simply how life worked. When someone was in trouble, a hand was offered. What was grown was shared, and people supported each other expecting nothing back.
There was no need for explanation — only the wish to act for someone else, and a richness money cannot measure.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Efficiency is not everything.
Efficiency alone cannot build a future.
In a society that puts efficiency and profit first,
the value of connection, trust, respect and helping others
seems to be fading, little by little.
That is exactly why we believe in the possibility
born from connections between people.

An ark carries all kinds of people,
heading for the future while supporting one another.
Neither a person, a business nor a region can build the
future alone. We want to be an ark — one that draws new
possibility from the connections between people, and
carries their intent to the next generation.
